Responsibility of the Board
The Board of the Council of Measurement and Verification Professional of South Africa (CMVPSA) consists of 10 members resident in South Africa and each serve a 4 year term of office. The Southern African Association for Energy Efficiency (SAEE), of which the CMVPSA is a chapter, serves as the Secretariat of the CMVPSA.
The Board speaks for the M&V profession nationally, liaises with Government, contributes to the national policy with regard to matters surrounding the profession, and engages in determining the curricula and syllabi of education in the M&V profession, in addition to co-ordinating practical training for students and trainee M&V professionals.
Board meetings and AGM
The Board meets annually, and performs its functions through appointed committees. At the AGM, new Board members are announced, financial statements and annual reports are presented and tabled, and auditors are appointed. Full members in good standing with the CMVPSA are entitled to vote at the AGM.
